Customer Service Counts

What do you say when your customer is disappointed or you can not say yes to their entire request? This customized 49erConnect module will explore ways UNC Charlotte employees can meet the needs of our internal and external customers.
The Guest

How we say and do things often determines whether or not our customers will select us for services time and again. To stay competitive, excellent customer service practices must be in place. This course provides the reasons why customer service is crucial to UNC Charlotte's success. Come and learn more about your role as a service provider and the skills necessary to create a more effective service culture.
Give 'em the Pickle

Serving the customer is a noble profession. But how do you get to the point where you see that what you do is more than just a job? Your daily work is an opportunity to connect with people, to brighten a day, to possibly make a difference with the people who come to you for service. Give 'em the Pickle gives you four powerful ways to develop your connections with your customers.
So HELP Me

The So HELP Me program illustrates realistic customer service problems that can frustrate both customers and employees. This training class provides solutions to problems that satisfy everyone: UNC Charlotte, employees and customers. Solutions include: working with policy to solve problems, helping customers outside your department, actively listening, treating every customer as your own, and defining customer needs.
FISH

Filmed at the Seattle Pike Place FISH Market, this video is being used by educators and managers alike, to stir up conversation about developing a positive attitude in the workplace. This film illustrates a workplace---a FISH market!---where the energy is so great that business people spend their lunch hour just watching the action and absorbing the energy. Replacing long, dreary work hours with a creative, energetic approach to work has changed this business and will help us to take a positive look at our daily work.
