September 28 – October 2, 2009, is designated as UNC Charlotte’s “24th Annual Staff Recognition Week.”  Outstanding sports competition and social events planned for you will make this an enjoyable time for all.  Mark your calendars now!  Important details regarding the week’s events can be found on this website.  This year’s staff/faculty events will include:

Please note the new date and location for the Chancellor’s Reception hosted by Dr. Dubois to express appreciation to staff and faculty.  This year the annual recognition reception will be held in conjunction with the opening of the new Student Union Building, on Thursday, August 27,
from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.

Beginning this year, those with 15 years of service will be recognized at the awards luncheon. Staff members with 10 years of service will be recognized at the divisional level.

There will be a minimal fee for the sporting events. Employees who earn annual/vacation leave are required to use leave to account for time away from work to participate in the sports events.

The Staff Awards Breakfast, scheduled for Wednesday, September 30, at 6:00 a.m., will be held in order to express appreciation to early morning and night shift employees who, because of their work schedules, are unable to participate in other activities being held during Staff Recognition Week.
