I-9 and Employment Eligibility
Your employment is contingent upon your ability to establish both identity and employment eligibility as required by the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986. As a new employee, you must complete USCIS Form I-9 and must do so within three (3) days of your official date of hire. During your initial employment processing in the Human Resources Department, bring all necessary forms of identification to successfully fulfill this federally-mandated obligation. Either one document from List A, or one each from List B and List C as outlined on page 3 of the I-9 Form link to the left.

Please note that the University strongly recommends that each employee present his/her original Social Security card to assure accurate payroll tax and retirement system reporting. If possible, please bring your original Social Security card, or official proof of application, when you visit the Human Resources department for your initial employment processing. If you are unable to locate your card, you may apply for a duplicate card by visiting your local Social Security Administration. Use the link to the left for information on obtaining a new or replacement Social Security Card.
