American United Life

All full-time permanent employees may join this voluntary term life plan.  Members can choose coverage amounts from $10,000 to $500,000.  A guaranteed issue amount of 3 times an employees salary or $200,000, whichever is less, is available in the first 30 days of employment at UNCC.  Spouse or domestic partner coverage is available for $10, 000 or $20,000 and dependent children for $5,000 or $10,000.  Rates are available here. Boston Mutual

Employees must be members of the State Employees’ Association of North Carolina to enroll in this term life plan.  Members can choose coverage amounts from $10,000 up to a maximum $300,000. Guaranteed coverage up to $100,000 is available in the first 180 days of state employment. Dependent coverage is available for your spouse for $25,000 and children for $10,000 at a cost of only $6.75 per month.  For information about joining the State Employee’s Association of North Carolina, go to www.seanc.org or call (800) 222-2758.
